QuestionI've had 2 c-sections, and one d&c in the last 7.5 years. In Feb. My OB informed me I have a thin window in the lining of my uterus. My question is, what kind of risks am I looking at if we decide to have a 3rd child?
A little history: 1st child born at 32wks via emergency c-section due to severe pre-eclampsia. 2nd pregnancy, m/c at 8wks. 3rd pregnancy, 2nd child, born 38 wks via scheduled c-section. 3rd pregnancy pretty uneventful. Very few problems.
I tend to have chronic HBP but am off meds currently and have been since I was pregnant with 2nd child who was born in feb of '04.
I know you can't give me guarantees, etc. All I'm asking for is some possibilites of what 'may' happen. Nothing more. Thanks in advance for the information.
If you can guide me where to look online, that'd be great as well. THANKS!
AnswerHello Amber- you need- MUST- read these two books- Open Season and The Silent Knife both by Nancy Wainer Cohen- go to a website in her name. She is THE expert in VBACs and they will answer ALL your questions- you can also email her from that site. Also, read Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin. All the best- Cheri.
