Marijuana Use During Pregnancy: Potential Risks and Concerns

I have just learned that I am approximately 4 weeks pregnant.  The father of the child has been a pot smoker for several years and is concerned what, if any effect this would have on this baby.  This would be a first child for both of us.  He is 34 and has been smoking pot for approximately 18 years.  I do not and have not done any drugs ever.  I am 31.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
There is no evidence that the use of marijuana is detrimental to a pregnancy.  Furthermore, the father's use of marijuana will not  have any influence on the baby. The would be more harm from cigarette smoking or from second hand smoking than from  pot.
