Coming to my question....
I am 22 years Old. I had a 3 weeks miss carriage and then i am 3 months pregnant now. I am worried for the increase in my weight. I put on 16 kgs of extra weight. Before the misscariage my weight was 53 Kgs and now its 69 Kgs.
Also the doctor complained that my heamoglobine is less which is worrying factor..
I am very concerned about my weight and becoming fat.... Could you pls advise what is the reason of so much increase in my weight though i avoid oily food.
Awaiting your response.
Jazak Allah Khair.
AnswerHi
A 9 months pregnancy results in an increase of body weight of about 12 Kg. Therefore it is abnormal to gain 16 kg in 3 months. This is most likely related to increased apetite which may be related to stress factors such as worrying from a new miscarriage, the responsibility of the aftercoming baby and similar factors.
Having a previous miscarriage does not affect your future possibility for a normal pregnancy. In fact spontaneous miscarriages occur in about 15% of normal couples as a sporadic event that is never repeated.
If you continue to experience this weight gain, it is advisable to seek a nutrionist for advice.
