Ectopic Pregnancy Risk After Fallopian Tube Removal: What to Expect

Question
I had an etopic pregnacy before and they had to remove a fallopian tube. since then I have been pregnant twice and have had two kids since then.I just found out I'm 8 1/2 weeks pregnant what are the odds I can be pregnant in my tube again.

Answer
Since you have only one fallpian tube, it is certainly possible to have another tubal pregnancy. HOwever, it is unlikely since you have, indeed, had two normal intrauterine pregnancies since the first ectopic. If you have any unusual vaginal bleeding or pain, call your doctor. If you are 8.5 weeks pregnant (from the date of your last period) a sonogram will confirm that the pregnancy is in your uterus. Take a sonogram and you can stop worrying.
