Ovulation Twice in a Cycle? Understanding Spotting & Fertility

I had my period on 11 may, I ovulated on the 24th may, but straight after that I had brownish spotting for about 4 days.  My period is due 8th or 9th of June.  But last night I got another positive on my ovulation strips?  can you ovulate twice in one cycle or could the spotting of been a slight period?

You only ovulate one time each cycle. If your last period started on May 11, ovulation, most likely, occurred on May 24. The brownish staining is indicative of ovulatory bleeding. YOu are due for your period on June 7. There should not be any LH surge at this time and I would have to assume that the oculation test was inaccurate.
