Lump Near Vagina After Childbirth: Causes & Concerns
QuestionI just recently - yesterday, found a small lump (the size of a small lima bean) on the left side near my vagina. It is kind of right on my pubic bone. It is hard to touch but does not hurt. It feels like it kind of rolls around under my skin. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago. Should I be concerned about cancer, or could this be a result of my pregnancy? Any information would be helpful.
Thanks.
AnswerIt is common to have some inclusion bodies in the area that may have arisen in the course of your delivery or as a result of any repair. It may be suture material. It is quite doubtful that it could be any form of cancer. Cancer does not present as a small lump in your vagina. If you have any worry, make an appointment with your gynecologist and have it identified.
