Fruitarian Diets: Weight Gain, Weight Loss & Diabetes Risks - Expert Insights

I was just wondering if fruitarians can get fat or perhpas lose a lot of weight from just eating fruits and will fruitarians eventually develop diabetes?

Answer
Any meal you eat or any diet you follow for the long term, must include protein from some source, and any diet that restricts you to only one form of food leaves you vulnerable to nutritional deficiencies.  

Anyone who eats too many calories can get fat.  As to diabetes, I'm not qualified to give a definitive answer.  My guess is that a "frutarian" who ate only sweet fruits, could over do it as far as sugar goes.
