QuestionHello, my name is Jessica. I am considering being an egg donor. I am very afraid of becoming infertile. To have kids is a very precious thing to me. I am afraid I would get an infection or get Ovarian Hyper-stimulation Syndrome or any possible damage done to my reproductive system.
I would like to know any information on the risks of becoming infertile from the process or any insight you may have on it.
I am very healthy, I am 21, and I have a BMI of 20.2. I am in a healhty range for my blood pressure. I exercise atleast 3 hours a week and and take a considerable amount of pride in keeping myself healthy. I do not smoke or do drugs. I will greatly appreciate any information or insight given.
AnswerAny egg donor program that can't answer all of your questions to your satisfaction is not one that you should get involved with. It is their job to answer all of these questions.
I am not up to date in my knowledge of the subject. I would bet that the best information you could get would be from the counsellors atthe program itself. If they aren't answering your questions, go somewhere else.
