Question -
-------------------------
i am having a line and i fond it only when i looked for it and that too after too much concentration earlier i thought it too be just line of hairs as this line goes beneath hair going from belly button to public bobe and it was faint like very verylight brown pencil line, and i saw it only after 5 minutes of concentration on it and after 5 minutes i was convinced that is some line.so do u think it is same pregnancy line and it can be so light as well as one can see it with so much difficulty or u think its normalline made by passage of hair.please if u put some light on my particular problem.i am in last days of forth month and my skin colour is not fair but  light brown(light wheat colour) asian type.

Answer -
Once you become pregnant, the "linea negra" forms. It is a dark line from your belly button to your pubic area. Once it appears, it will always be there, although it can fade a bit after you deliver your baby. The line that develops when you become pregnant can be light brown, dark brown, black, very faint, etc. It is not made up of hair but definitely a discoloration the skin. It does look like a thin pencil line. If you have any doubts, just show it to your obstetrician.
Answer -
Usually we only see the "linea negra" in women who have had babies or are pregnant. However, the presence of a linea negra is proof of pregnancy. If you have any doubts, take a pregnancy test.

Answer
The linea negra is not a diagnosis of pregnancy. It can exist in the absence of pregnancy. If you believe that there is a line that is like the linea alba, and it worries you, have a dermatologist take a look at it. It is nothing to be concerned about. It does not mean that you are pregnant. If the pregnancy tests have been negative, you are not pregnant.
