Inguinal Hernia & Pregnancy: What You Need to Know

Hello again and thank you for you answer!
The last 3 c-sections I have had are vertical Incisions. I was told by telling someone where the hernia was and I beleave the last exam I had the doctor told me it was a Inguinal hernia. I was going to go to my OB to start getting all the exam's to make sure everything would be ok for me to get pregnate. IM just a little scaried of what could happen so I wanted some advice. An inguinal hernia is in your groin area. It will not have any effect on becoming pregnant or maintaining a pregnancy. When you schedule the cesarean section, ask a surgeon to assist your obstetrician in the cesarean or have the surgeon repair the hernia after the cesarean is done (while you are still on the table). Good luck. We do this all the time.
