26 Weeks Pregnant: Normal Delivery vs. C-Section - Risks & Considerations
QuestionI am 26 weeks pregnant. Its my first pregnancy. My age is 26 years. My height is 4 feet 11 inches and weight is 51 Kg now.I want the opinion that is it possible for me to undergo a normal delivery procedure or there is any risk in it.Is my height suitable for normal delievery or C-Section is the better option. My doctor said that there is a chance of normal delievry but u should opt for C-Section and dont have any trial for normal delivery to avoid any type of risk because in her opinion IQ level of baby may suffer due to use of instruments during normal labor(She said this only due to my height, otherwise she ddid'nt do any other examination).Plz give ur best opinion.Thanx.
AnswerThe best opinion about this would come from an experienced ob-gyn who could examine you. If you don't think your doctor examined you well enough, maybe you should seek another opinion. I also suggest you get the book "Ever since i had my baby" by Roger Goldberg, MD, MPH
It is available on Amazon.com and it is all about these issues.
Best of luck
