QuestionI am 25 years old I have one child, one pregnancy terminated at 9 weeks, Me and my husband have been ttc for a year. My last MP started Sept 18/05. Unprotected intercourse occurred Sept 25, 26, 27, 28. Even though my period isnt late, I am having symptoms: headaches, lower back pain, larger breasts, nausea, cramps, mood swings and heartburn. I know these symptoms can be responsible for early signs of MP. But i have never had cramps back pain headaches etc. before getting my period. What I am wondering is if early pregnancy signs can occur before a missed period. Thank you.
AnswerPregnancy symptoms (brest tenderness, fatigue, nausea) can occur immediately when you conceive. However, if you ahve a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period untl the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. You can only become pregnant if you have sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16 each month. If your last period started on September 18, you would not have ovulated untl October 1 and could only have conceived if you had sex on September30, October 1,2, or 3. It is doubtful that you could have conceived on September 25,26,27, or 28. However, if you do not get your period by October 15, wait an additional week and then take a pegnancy test.
