Bluish Cervix & Postpartum Bleeding: What Could It Mean?

i went for my annual exam where the dr said my cervix were a bluish purple color and asked me to have a urine pregnancy test. i agreed it came back negative. im 22 and have 3 children. i gave birth by c-section 6 months ago to twin boys. i havent persay had a period since having th babies, almost 2 weeks ago i had a week of bleeding all it was, was a gush of blood then nothing for hours then again then nothing. i have been using the VCF films but have forgotten some. please let me know if i have a poss. of being pregnant.

If you are late for your period, or if you do not believe the bleeding you had two weeks ago was a regular period, there is always a chance of pregnancy. However, the pregnancy test (urine) was negative, so it is doubtful that you are pregnant. To be sure, take two blood tests for pregnancy (Beta HCG) 48 hours apart. If there is a doubling of the results in 48 hours, it indicates a pregnancy. If there is a halving of the results in 48 hours, it indicates a miscarriage. If both results are less than 5, you were never pregnant. A bluish cervix is called a "Chadwick's sign" which is sometimes seen when you are pregnant. It is a soft sign and is not definitive for pregnancy.
