hi! my name is azila from Malaysia. i am 35 yrs old, married and has no kid as yet. before i proceed with my query, i should start with a brief medical history of myself. during my 1st marriage, i had an ectopic pregnancy way in 1998, my right fallopion was removed, no pregnacy after that. we ended divorced in 2000. anyhow, soon after my present (2nd) marriage in dec 2007, i got molar in jan 2008 and had to undergone 2 times of d&c. i was advised not to get pregnant for at least 1 year but i dont really practice any contraception method. and recently, early may, i got pregnant again. scanned on the 5th week and everything was fine. suddenly last saturday, started bleeding. was then ask to bed rest for 4 days. it was no pain or anything serious. just like normal period. yesterday, during the check-up, i was told that it has been complete self-aborted. now, i am antibiotic. my questions, would all of that affect my next pregnancy? can i have a normal pregnacy? and is it safe to have sex after an abortion like myself? appreciate if you could help me on all these. thank you.

Hi Azila,

I'm not a medical doctor so I advise you to see your regular physician about all your health concerns. Usually, what happened to you this time in your pregnancy is called a miscarriage. I am sorry to hear about that if you want to have children. I understand that you are on antibiotics right now? Why were you advised to not get pregnnat for 1 year? I'm confused about this advice. I can't tell you if this would affect your next or any future pregnancies. I would wait until the doctor says it is ok to proceed.
