Understanding Fundal Height Discrepancies in Pregnancy

I am currently about 34 1/2 weeks preg, with my 2nd baby. according to my last u/s a couple of weeks ago, my baby is growing accordingly in fact he is about a week + bigger but when i go to my obgyn my fundal hight is still stuck at 29 and its been like that for the last 2 visits it was at 31 when i was about 29+ weeks then my next visit it went down to 29 and has stayed there, what does this mean?  is my baby going to run out of room to grow?

As long as the sonogram shows adequate growth, you do not need to put to much stock in an abdominal exam. They are very subjective and are not very accurate at this stage of pregnancy. Does your doctor use a tape measure or merely approximate the distance from the belly button or from the Xiphoid? A tape meaeasure is better.
