Urine Test Sensitivity for hCG: Understanding Home Pregnancy Test Results

Question
Hi, I asked you a question the other day and I didn't want to bother you again, but the other volunteers seem to be not there anymore. Do you know approx. how many MIU's an office urine test is sensitive to? (in HCG), I have taken a total of about 14 HPT's in the past week, maybe 10 before my appt on the 9th. The urine test at the ob was neg and I am waiting on the results of BT. Since the appt. I have taken about 2 more and they were also positive, but they have gotten much darker. Is it possible that the urine test at the ob's was less sensitive than 50 MIU's? Sorry...

Answer
If you performed the urine pregnancy test correctly, and it showed a positive result, you are definitely pregnant, especially if the lines were darker than before. As long as you reach a threshold for HCG it will be positive. If HCG is not there, or had not reached a threshold, the test would have been negative.
