Understanding Abnormal Urine Test Results in a 4-Year-Old: What to Do?

My son is 4yr old and been complaining of burning while urinating and while not. I took him in to see his dr. urine test  a culture was send out but do u think i should be concerned. He is still screaming off on cause of the pain and is terrified to pee.
here are the abnormal readings. pls let me knw what u think.

Answer
Hi Evelyn.  I'd be glad to try and answer your question.  Based on the test results you've provided, I'd guess that your son does indeed have a UTI (urinary tract infection).  He has blood, protein, and leukocytes (white blood cells) in his urine, and normally those three together indicate an infection.  His doctor will know for sure when he/she gets the culture results.  The UTI can easily be treated with antibiotics.
