Bacterial Vaginosis in Pregnancy: Antibiotics & Safety
QuestionI am five months pregnant and the doctor recently told me that I have bacterial vaginosis. She gave me a prescription for an antibiotic but I am worried about taking this medication. I wanted to know if the antibiotics are completely safe to use or if there might be an alternative method to medication or if it will cure up by itself.

Yes, the antibiotics are safe for you and your baby. It would be far worse if you did not take the antibiotics. There are many associated complications that occur with BV during pregnancy.
