Post-Pill Period Irregularities: What to Expect & When to Worry

Question
hi! i'm sorry to bother you again. I was just wondering if you could answer a question. I was on birth control (YASMIN) for six months and stopped taking them last month. On March 20 - 23 I had my period(which was very light). Since then I havent had my period. I was wondering if I havent gotten my period because I stopped taking the birth control? How long does it usually take to regulate? Also could I have ovulated, and if so could i have ovulated late, and could possibly be in the two week wait?

Answer
If you stopped your Yasmin  prior to your period on March 20, you would have ovulated on April 2 and could have conceived if you had unprotected sex on April 1,2,3, or 4. On the other hand, it is common for you to have some irregular cycles for a few months after stopping the pills. If you have any doubts, take a pregnancy test.
