QuestionHello.
I went to a public health department in my town to get back on birth control. I stopped taking it May 2009 and my fiance and I decided I should get back on it. I went to the health department on January 11, 2010. I was still on my period and knew to take my new pack of pills on January 17. Unfortunately, due to pressure from my fiance and forgetting on my part, I took my birth control the next day (January 12). I didn't realize it until later on in January when the days didn't match. Things were okay for awhile, although I was spotting for about a week and a half.
I have been experiencing nausea really bad for the past 2 weeks now. And starting about 3 days ago, everytime I become nauseas, I also start getting a headache, becoming fatique, and getting dizzy. All 4 symptoms come at the same time with the nausea starting first. Sometimes the nausea will come by itself. I have also noticed that the nausea starts at the same time everyday. Early in the morning and late at night ranging from 6 pm- 8pm. It comes so suddenly, without warning. Is the nausea, headache, fatique, & dizziness from the birth control?
As a side note, I am takng Ortho Tri Cyclen. I started taking the first pack January 12, but I was not allowed to get another pack because my annual pelvic exam is on February 26. I tried calling my local health department to tell them I ran out early and wondering if I could take my exam early and they said no. I work all the time and my fiance goes to school and works. We only have one car. So it is very hard to go without my fiance missing school.
Sorry, I am off subject. My fiance is afraid I might be pregnant. Is all this from the birth control or no?
Thank you for your help.
AnswerJasmine,
I cannot tell you for sure but in my opinion, it is most likely from the pills. Since you haven't taken the hormonal pills for a while, it might be your body reacting. I don't think you would be pregnant, because you were having your period. But it's slightly possible. Go and get a free pregnancy test at a local pregnancy center. Perhaps you can get a ride from someone else besides your fiance. Check out a location at http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP.

In my opinion, if you are saying your fiance is pressuring you about things at this point, perhaps you should consider your future with him. You sound dependent on him about the car, etc. I think it's important to be an independent woman. If he is so worried about you being pregnant, is he going to influence you or force you about abortion? Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so we can talk by email about everything. Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
