Fertility Chances: Ovulation & Conception - Expert Advice

Question
I was wondering what my possibity of getting pregnant is in this senerio.   I should have ovulated on Saturday.  (Cervical muscus, thin abundant, and clear)  Had unprotected intercourse early Sunday Morning. (CM-still abundant clear and thin, just a little less) Could fertilization have occurred.  I am 34 almost 35, husband is 37, we have one child, and I miscarried last summer at 10 weeks.

Answer
Fertilization can occur at the time of ovulation. However, since sperm can remain viable for 12-24 hours and since the ovum can remain viable for 24-48 hours, you can conceive if you have sex from one day prior to ovulation and up to two days after ovulation. If you ovulated on Saturday, the ovum can be fertilizaed  up  to Monday.
