30mm Follicle & Ovulation Concerns: Can Pregnancy Still Occur?
QuestionI had a 30mm follicle. I never got a positive on the opk. During an ultrasound the dr. said that the follicle ruptured and I should have ovulated. Could I still get pregnant this month? Can i have a follicle that large and not ovulate? Post ovulation blood tests indicate a 2.5 progesterone level at 2dpo, dr. told me to expect at least a 5-6 prog. level. Is my level too low? I am just anxious to be pregnant.
Thank you,

AnswerI don't know when your last period started. If you had a ruptured follicle but it has past the date of ovulation, it is hard to say if an ovum was ovulated or if it is too late for conception (An ovum can only remain viable for 24-48 hours). Sometimes, if you do not ovulate, the follicle may become an ovarian cyst (unless it ruptures). A low progesterone level is not conducive to ovulation. YOu may need progesterone supplementation to raise the progesterone level. Discuss it with your doctor.
