Early Ovulation Concerns: Cycle Tracking & TTC Support

Question
Hi. I am 24, one pregnancy, no children. The date of my LMP was 5/5/06. We are TTC. My typical cycle is 28 days with an LP of 13 days. I typically ovulate on cycle day 15. I believe I had an annovulatory cycle last month or if I did ovulate I ovulated very late. There is not a clear cut ovulation that can be seen on my chart. That cycle was 48 days long. I am on cycle day 10 right now and had a dramatic temp shift on cycle day 8. I had fertile cervical mucus on that day. And creamy cervical mucus on the days prior. I have never ovulated this early. Is it possible that I ovulated this much earlier than normal? is it normal to ovulate earlier than normal after a long annovulatory cycle? Thank you for your help.

Answer
I cannot tell when you ovulated or if the previous cycle was anovulatory. You appear to have irregular cycles. It is not normal to have a 48 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period)If you are absolutely sure that you ovulated on cycle day #8, you should start your period on cycle day #22. If you do not get your period by cycle day #29, take a pregnahcy test. The fact that you had a 48 day cycle last month had no influence on ovulation.
