Early IVF Pregnancy Concerns: 6 Weeks Instead of 7 Weeks - Support & Experiences

I had ivf 5 day transfer done on april 28. My hcg were normal. I
went in for an ultrasound when I should have been 5w4d. We saw a
gest sac and yolk sac, but sac was small for 5w4d. I went back for
US 14 days later. I should have been 7w4d. We saw a gest sac,yolk
sac, and fetal pole with good heartbeat. But it only measured 6w2d.
The doctor was not very optimistic. After ivf you should be on your
dates. Have you seen this before that it turned out ok. If I didn't
know dates the sac and fetal pole look good.

On sonogram, between 5-6 weeks gestation will show an empty gestational sac, but no fetus or fetal heartbead. After 6 weeks, sonogram will show a fetus and a sac and a fetal heartbeat. It appears good. You did not mention when the sonogram was done so I can't calculate your dates.  What were the dates of the sonographic exams and repeat what they showed. You said that the HCG values were normal but did not tell me what the values were. So far the fetus appears within normal limits.
