QuestionOk I know your probably tired of hearing about the conception date issue, but like the other girls say its just bothersome. Okay here is the issue...I had sex with #1 on April 7,9 and then on the 14th of April I think i had my period but it was a little late...well i start my period around 11th every month. When istarted on April 14th i dont think it was light but i remember it only lasting like 3 days. Well 2 weeks later on April 28, 29, i had sex with #2 and then three weeks later i found out im pregnant...i had an ultrasound and the date on the ultrasound agreed with me conceiving on the 30th of April, but i dont know if they just went by the date i gave them on the first day of the last period. My question is does #1 guy have a chance of being the father, because that would not be to good. Please let me know the total truth because i am stressing over this all though inside i feel its #2 its still bothersome, thank you so much!
AnswerHi Nicole,
no problem, I volunteer to answer questions so it is never a problem or a bother, no matter what the question is.
From what you say it doesnt sound like #1 is the father... you had a period after you had sex with him, right? Even though it was light. Also from the dates you have given it DOES sound like you conceived the proper time with #2. This is why I am saying this:
if you get/got your period around the 14th of the month, your times with #1 would likely have been not the best time to conceive.
So you got your period around the 14th- then were with #2 in the PEAK fertility time.
PLUS, an ultrasound will measure the gestational age (how old)of a fetus- and it would clearly conflict with the age of the fetus given vs the times you were with #1, because we are talking 3-4 weeks difference. This would definitely make a difference in the age and measurements of the fetus.
It makes sense to me that #2 is the father.
However; If you are stil unsure you could always ask your doctor how to test the DNA- you can get DNA kits from a company called Genetica.
good luck; please feel free to ask any time. I hope I have helped you. And congratulations on your pregnancy!
