Delayed Period After Unprotected Sex: What Could It Mean?

hello Amy.  Please could offer me your oppinion.  The situation is this, My partner and i had unprotected sex on the 9th of june it was the day before my period was due, so we figured we would be safe enough not to bother with a condom. Anyway my period never started on the 10th instead it started on the 14th ( a very small amount of pink)on the 15th still hardly anything just pink and then i bled a little on the thursday not enough to change a pad then it was just brown discharge the next day then stopped...sorry to be gros but my periods are usually long and heavy. Any way on the 19th i noticed pink spotting throughout the afternoon ( 2 days after my light period had stopped) I did a pregnancey test the day after the spotting and it was negetive.    Am i completly insane or could i still be pregnant?
Sorry if this isnt the subject you usually deal with but i could really do with a second oppinion on this i carnt stop thinking about it!

The timing would most likely not have been right for you to get pregnant.  You can only conceive when you ovulate which is usually in the middle of the month.  If you had a period, even though it wasn't normal, it is also a pretty good sign that you aren't pregnant.  Your body's cycle just may be a little different this month.  Also, home pregnancy tests are really accurate, so, if you had a negative test, it is most likely the case.  If you still have doubts, have your doctor send you for some blood work to confirm your situation.  I hope this helps.  Good luck!
