Subchorionic Bleeding in Pregnancy: Risks, Concerns & What to Expect

Question
I have a sb and Im 9 weeks preg. I have a daughter thats 19months. With her I had a sub. bleed and it never went away. It got so bad I was passing clots the size of oranges. It caused me to have her at 25 weeks. Im scared of this one and my doctor dosent seem to be that concered. Should I be on bed rest? All she said was no sex and dont lift anything heavy. Thats what they told me last time and it wasnt good enough. What do you think?

Answer
Hi Karla,

Based on your past history, I agree with you. If you can prevent having another premature baby, then I think you should do everything is your power to stop it from happening.

No sex, No heavy lifting, No standing for long periods of time. No exertion, or exercise. Sit when you can, keep your feet elevated.

I would really pamper myself right now. Get help, where you can for housework, laundry, errands and so forth. Take as much help as possible.

And if anyone tells you, you are going overboard, You certainly are not. This is your baby, and you have walked down this road in the past.

Take care, of you, and your baby. Everything else, comes second at this point.

Hope this answers your question and Good luck :)
