QuestionI found out on Nov.11 that I was pregnant, and then I miscarried on Nov.20. I lost all my symptoms of pregnancy. Last week my breast starting getting tender and I started feeling sick at different times durning the day, so on Sunday I took a test and it was postive. Should I assume that I am pregnant again or is this hormones left from the miscarriage?
AnswerHi Tristy :)
This is a very tough call. Allthough its very possible that you have become pregnant again, its also possible that the symptoms as well as your positive test result, could be related to your last pregnancy.
It can take about 4-6 weeks for the hormones to return to normal, depending on the woman, and how long into gestation she was.
So you could very well be pregnant, but its possible you may not be.
The only way to be conclusive, is to have a beta HCG blood test done. This will determine the level of HCG hormone in your blood, to diagnose a current pregnany. Ofcourse, you could always wait for your period, and if its late, thats a pretty good indicator that you are indeed pregnant again.
Hope this answers your question, and if you have any more concerns, please dont hesitate to write back :)
