Questionon dec 3 i had a tubal i have not had a period since, i have terrible headaches and cramps, i get sick everymorning. could i be pregnant or is this due to my tubal?
AnswerDear Kassie,
These would not be symptoms that I would necessarily relate to a tubal ligation procedure specifically. They do sound hormonal in nature.
I recommend taking a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If negative, then it may be that there was a bit of secondary trauma to your ovaries that is causing the symptoms you are having. This happens sometimes. Depending on the damage to the veins and capillaries, blood volume to the ovaries may slightly decrease or can be eliminated completely. This can cause an estrogen/progesterone imbalance.
If the test is negative and the symptoms persist, I would recommend seeing your doctor for a follow-up evaluation.
I hope this information has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well.
