QuestionHi, my name is Katarina and I have a question my firs day of my last period was Nov.1.2007 I did not have period in Dec. my first positive test was on Jan.2.2007and then my due date would be Avg.8.07,but my Doctor said Sep.12.07 it is in another 2 months could be I due anythime and I would not know I have two other children,with my both My calculations were right I never missed any period that I could say it is inrregular.Please help me ,when I asked my doctor about recheking my due date he got apset,did not said but the way he was acting told all,like I know better then him.I am just confused just would like some answers.

If your LMP was 11/1/06 and you have regular 28 day cycles, by my calculations your estimated due date would be 08/09/07.
Now, my question would be - is your doctor basing his dating on LMP calculations or an early ultrasound? If he is going by an ultrasound that was done between the 6th-12th week, that ultrasound will be extremely accurate in dating the pregnancy. The measurements that are taken prior to the 12th week really aren't affected by any variance in individual growth patterns of a fetus, so they are very reliable to date the pregnancy.
If he is simply going by LMP calculations, then I would say there may be a discrepancy. My best advice to you is simply to be ready. Only 5% of babies are actually born on their due date. So women should be ready to go at least 3 weeks prior to the due date anyway. And anytime there is a question about the dating, I'd extend that to 6 weeks.
If you happen to go into labor around the first week in August, let the facility know that there is a discrepancy with your due date. Give them your LMP date and let them figure it out! :-) But you should also know if the due date the doctor is using is based on an early ultrasound, as that will be important.
