Conception Date Calculator: Estimating Due Date from Last Menstrual Period

Question
my wifes due date is November 27 2007 her LMP is February 14 2007 what day did she conceive i cant figure it out

Answer
It is very difficult to figure out due dates and conception dates based on LMP, because every woman's cycle is a different length, with ovulation on different days.  If you put the LMP of Feb 14 into a due date calculator, you get a due date of November 21, but this is assuming your wife has 28-day cycles with ovulation on day 14, putting her conception date at February 28.  If her cycles are not exactly 28-days, this calculation would be wrong.  If the due date of November 27 was given by an early, first-trimester ultrasound, it is more likely to be accurate.  Using that due date, you get a date of conception of March 6.

Just remember that, unless you know the date of ovulation to begin with, from fertility charting, any other attempt to determine it comes with a lot of inaccuracy and guesswork.
