Pregnancy-Related Arm Pain & Circulation Issues: What to Do
QuestionI am about 8 mths pregnant and I have been having alot of problems with both of my arms. It started about a month ago, both arms had poor circulation and hey would both fall asleep at any time, no matter what I did. I have been swelling for the past month as well but not that bad. It seems like the more I do what my dr. tells me the worse I get. Well, for the past week now my right arm hasn't been that bad but my left arm has gotten worse. It's no longer falling asleep, it's a very bad pain in all my bones in my entire left arm and to my back. I can't take it any more. Please help.
AnswerWhen a limb "falls asleep" it is usually caused by compression of blood flow or compression of a nerve. It's possible that you are experiencing Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, or a similar problem.
