Mature Placenta & Exercise: Safety During Pregnancy

Question
Hi,

I've recently been told that I have a mature placenta. At 31 weeks, my placenta looked like a 35 week placenta. I am currently 34 weeks and I have been enjoying swimming 3x a week since week 31 and yoga once a week since week 20.
I was very active before I got pregnant. I worked out with both weights and cardio 5-6x a week, but I stopped during the 1st trimester and it took me a while to get back into it.
Since my placenta is "older" is it still safe to go to swimming and yoga?

Answer
Please consult your OBGYN on this issue. Generally, pregnant women can exercise on what ever level they are used to. But once you are in a high risk category, then exercise is not advised.

It's possible that you might deliver early, or that you conceived earlier than was supposed.
