Missed Period & Potential Pregnancy: What To Do

hello Doctor Joan,

the last time i had my period was Oct 12 - 14 (if im not mistaken) i had sex on Oct. 25 and 26. until now (Nov. 16) i'm still waiting for my monthly period. is there a possibility that i could be pregnant? im supposed to have my period second week of November.

Dear Ella,
The best thing for you to do would be to check a pregnancy test.  You can purchase one in a drug store.  The most accurate tests have two lines (not words).  If you got pregnant on October 25, it should show positive by now.
