Question
I had a c-section on 4th of june to my second child.During my pregnancy ı gained 13 kg but ı had a very big stomach compare to my first pregnancy.I was wondering why my stomach was so big.The baby weight is also normal when she was born 3kg.But after my first pregnancy ı did not do much exercise compare to my previous years. Now ı was told that ı have a rectus abdominal separation which is about 2.5 finger wide on belly part. "My question is What is the suggestion for me to turn back on my normal posture".This is really effect me as a psychology cause ı had a perfect belly before even not did exercises lately.

Answer
The good news is that a 2.5 finger width separation is considered borderline for a diagnosis of diastasis recti.

Many women, with or without abdominal separation, end up "still pregnant looking" and yes, it's a total bummer! But I've got more good news, with the right exercises you can tone and flatten your abdomen, realign your spine to improve your posture, and develop functional core strength and stability.

This is a two step process. First, you need to strengthen the deepest abdominal muscle, your Transverse Abdominis, or TvA. This is the body's internal "girdle" and when contracted, compresses the abdomen and draws the belly closer to the spine. Second, you need to then train this muscle to function as a stabilizer. This is key for flattening the abs after pregnancy.
