Question3/27- measured 7w 1d.
4/14- measured 10w 0d.
4/29- measured 12w 0d.
I am unsure of my LMP. From the first ultrasound, the technician put my due
date at 11/12; with a conception date of 2/12. I was with someone on January 24
& 25th. Although this encounter used condom as protection, I am worried that
the dates for my pregnancy could be about 19 days off because of the
discrepancy from the encounter on Jan 24 & 25th and the conception date that
the technician provided (even though all three dates of ultrasound are within 3
days of each other and I used protection with the encounter on 1/24 & 25.)
I am searching for piece of mind here because the man I believe to be the father
thinks he is the father as well. I just need to know just how accurate those three
ultrasound screenings were. Any information will be an immense help.
AnswerLike many things in medicine, ultrasounds are not 100% accurate. They can be off by up to a pound and up to a week early or late in detection. Ultrasound is merely a tool used to get a generalized idea as to how far along mothers are, detections in abnormalities and monitoring fluid and growth levels. This is not something to be alarmed by. It may very well be off by a couple of days, and that is very normal.
