Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) in Teenagers: Symptoms, Causes & Treatment

My daughter has alot of discharge coming out of her and it smells bad. She says that it does not itch or burn down there, but she can fill up a pad in a matter of hours. Is this normal in a 13 year old. Please help....

I believe your daughter may be suffering from bacterial vaginosis(BV). When an imbalance of vaginal bacteria occurs, the result is the development of bacterial vaginosis. BV causes the discharge to be thin and cloudy, varying from gray to yellow in color, and a fishy odor. Take her to her doctor, she will need tests to determine if she has bacterial vaginosis or something else.
