Questionhi. i'm seventeen years old, and only recently became sexually active. truth be told, i've only had sex twice. both times we used a condom, and i don't think anything broke or leaked. but still, i've been REALLY stressed about possibly being pregnant.
i last had sex 6/24 and it's now 10/15. i have had five "periods" since then. only thing is, they've been different than usual. i get PMS symptoms beforehand (sore breasts, bloating, cramps, irritability) that all went away after the bleeding. i'm irregular in terms of when i get my period, but it's usually a pretty normal flow that lasts around 5 days. these last five have been around 2-3 days, with a lighter flow. the blood is red, but just...different.
for the first two months after i last had sex, i felt fine, except for the odd periods. but lately, i've been feeling a little off. i've had headaches everyday almost, and am more tired. i feel bloated for some reason, and have had some constipation. also, i've noticed veins on my chest, legs, arms, and on my sides have become more visible. not drastically, but they're there. i also have an odd hardness around my belly button, and a pulsing to my stomach.
i'm REALLY worried. i took 4 pregnancy tests, which were all negative, but i've read so much about them being inaccurate.
what could be causing these odd periods? could it be stress? and what could cause their veins? i've read it happens with pregnancy.
i'd appreciate the help!
AnswerHi Natasha,
I don't think you're pregnant. I think you are too stressed out over being pregnant which is causing changes to your body. I also think because of the stress you are noticing every change with your body and in your mind it seems to be worse than usual. This is normal for people that are worried about being pregnant. Try to stop worrying, I would be very surprised if you were pregnant.
