Ovarian Cyst & Post-Chemical Pregnancy Bleeding: What to Expect

Question
I recently had a chemical pregnancy.  Positive pregnancy test but then began bleeding on 11/26 (no hormone was present in my blood tests)  When the ultrasound was performed my doctor found an ovarian cyst (6cm) on my left ovary.  I have now been on BC for 12 days but am STILL bleeding (with mild cramping).  Question 1...Is this normal?
I have also been feeling nauseous (which is why I took the preg test to begin with) and very tired for the last month and a half.  I have a 5 month old so that COULD explain the fatigue but I am wondering if the nausea and fatigue could be related to the cyst or if I could have something else going on that needs to be checked out.  Thanks so much for your insight!!

Answer
Hi Danielle,

The bleeding is normal and is most likely caused by the birth control. Nausea can be related to the cyst. Sometimes endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease and appendicitis can be mistaken for a cyst, however because you had an ultrasound which showed the cyst, I don't think you need to worry about other things going on.
