Pay attention to your body, and don't write strange things off as simply symptoms of pregnancy. Try to avoid Vitamin A as much as you can when pregnant. Vitamin A can cause severe damage to the embryo. Avoid foods that have this vitamin, including liver, mozzarella cheese, egg yolks and mangoes. It is okay to have a little bit of these foods, but do not eat them daily.

Don't be afraid of the weight gain. You are going to gain weight. It's not only normal but necessary. Your body needs fat reserves for breast milk, energy for labor and delivery as well as lots of extra fluids. Embrace the added weight and know that it will come off afterwards.

Keep in mind that it can take up to a year for a woman to get pregnant. If you have been trying for that long and are not having any success, it is time to go see your doctor. They will be able to tell you if there is any medical reason for your struggles.

If you are pregnant you need to make sure to exercise on a regular basis. This will decrease your chances of suffering a miscarriage, reduce the amount of time you are in labor, and it will make it easier to go back to your regular size after you give birth.

Have your significant other make healthy changes in their life as well. As you make all these big changes in your eating habits and activities, having someone to lean on will be a big advantage. If you do it together, it will help you both keep on track with these changes.

Stay away from household cleaning products when you are pregnant. Inhaling these products when you are pregnant can cause serious health problems for you and your baby. Have someone else in your home do your cleaning, or, if you have to clean, wear a protective mask over your nose and mouth.

If you think there is a chance that you may be pregnant, take a pregnancy test or go to your doctor right away. Sometimes, women wait too long to find out that they are pregnant and this can cause complications in pregnancy and prevent you from getting the proper care that you need.
