QUESTION: i hadn't had any of the symptoms you asked, although i had noticed the smell
changed slightly. however, later in the day after i asked you my question, i
passed i large clot and had unusual color in my discharge. But since then
have been feeling much better. no bad cramping and hardly anymore
bleeding. i am assuming that that clot was causing the cramping and i am
finally over the hump. i have however had diarrhea accompany everything i
eat since. (4 times) is that related in any way?
AnswerHi Gwen
I'm glad you're feeling better, it sounds like your body was working hard to expel the last of what was there.
Do watch out for the unusual coloured/smelling discharge. If you get any more then do see your doctor, this can indicate an infection.
Hopefully in the next few days everything should settle down.
As for your diarrhea, this should also settle down. Miscarriage is very upsetting to your digestive system. You could try an over-the-counter remedy to settle things, then see how things go from there. If the diarrhea returns then you may have a bug. If it's more than a loose bowel movement (ie, very watery) and is accompanied by lots of wind then again it may be worth seeing your doctor. Make sure you drink plenty to prevent dehydration.
I hope this has helped & I'm glad that you're feeling better. Take care of yourself and mske sure you eat well to get your strength up. Miscarriage takes a huge toll on your body and it can take a few weeks to start feeling like you're on the road to recovery.
If you have any more questions then please don't hesitate to come back.
Kindest Regards
Sarah
