Steroid Injections and Blood Test Results: Anemia & Thyroid

Samantha thank you for an earlier answer to a question. My mom has had a number of steroid injections done on her. I'd like to ask you if steroids can affect an anemia and thyroid panel blood test.
I do know that it can affect the CBC results.

Hi Patrick.  The answer to your question is, yes, steroid injections can affect both anemia (which is, in fact, a CBC) and a thyroid test.  Both of these tests should be done 6-8 weeks after stopping the steroid shots for the most accurate measurement.
