QuestionI had a blighted ovum and the gestation sac was still really high, so I had a d&c done on 1/30. My first period came at 5wks5ds. The second in the normal 28 days (and was completely normal in terms of length, bleeding, cramping, back pain, etc).
From when I was charting before the pregnancy that ended in miscarriage/blighted ovum, it seemed that I regularly ovulated on day 13 of my cycle. I'm on my 3rd post d&c cycle, my husband and I are trying to conceive again, I had all the symptoms of ovulation, and believe I ovulated on cycle day 13 as usual.
But that day I experienced some pink spotting when I wiped. The next day I had a darker thicker streak of discharged when I wiped once. So I figured that was the older stuff from the day before and it was done. Nothing the next day, but the day after that it's like I started a light period. That was yesterday. I'm still bleeding today, not a lot, but enough to cause me to wear a pad. I don't have any cramps like I do for a normal period.
It just seems strange after having a completely normal 2nd cycle. It's way too early to be my period. Help! What is going on with my body?

There are too many possibilities for me to answer your question. You would need an examination. It could be normal ovulatory bleeding, hormonal abnormalities, uterine abnormalities or cervical abnormalities. I would recommend that you see your doc and have him/ her investigate.
