Questionwhatwould happend using diamet tab 850mg and duluton l 21days tablet, i am 32 yrs, i got married on apr-09 and my periods are not regular, after having these tablets i will get pregant within how many days i would get pregant ?
AnswerHello Sangeetha from INdia,
Diamet is an insulin inhibitor, also known as metformin, to reduce the insulin levels in your blood if they are elevated. This is often found in infertility patients that have a condition known as Polycystic ovarian disease/syndrome, but is not in all. Many doctors make the mistake of prescribing this to all PCOD patients without checking their insulin levels. It should only be used if the insulin levels are elevated.
Douluton is a birth control pill. This is used to artificially make your cycles regular by over-riding the ovarian function (by suppressing it) and causing the uterus to form a lining and bleed each month on schedule. It INHIBITS pregnancy.
Neither of these tablets will help you get pregnant. If you are wanting to get pregnant, you need to see a fertility specialist and go on fertility medications to induce ovulation (a process where the ovary produces and gives off an egg), which can lead to pregnancy. Some PCOD patients have to move to a higher treatment level such as insemination (IUI) or IVF.
I hope this helps,
