Questioni am from india.i have severe pain when my periods starts.recently i was asked to take duoluton-l pills.but after taking these pills my periods is 7days late till now.also i never had late periods till date.only this time i am having this problem.is it because of taking these pills???i am 21yr old.

Hormonal pills can affect your menstrual cycle, but the body will usually accomodate them within 3 months. It is possible that your menstrual problem is from the pill but could be other causes as well, such a pregnancy. Please consult your gynecologist for an evaluation and more specific answers.
You may also want to consider an evaluation for the menstrual cramping that you have. It could be a sign of endometriosis which not only disrupts your lifestyle because of the pain, but is a common cause of infertility and the second most common reason for hysterectomies.
