Irregular Periods After Childbirth & Breastfeeding: Causes & When to Worry

I am 35 years old. I had my second child 8 months ago. I had bleeding for 3 weeks after her birth. I did get slight browinsh type of period for 1-2 daysalmost 2 months ago. I haven't had any periods since then. I was breast feeding my child until a month ago. now I am not.For the past one week I can feel wetness but no periods as such. I am worried .Please advice.

It is normal for your periods to be irregular while breastfeeding, and even for a few months after you wean your baby.  The wetness you describe could be what is known as egg-white mucous, which is a sign of ovulation and could mean that you could expect your next period within the next couple of weeks.  If you continue to have concerns about your periods, you should see your doctor to rule out any possible problems.
