Infertility & Prescription Medications: Exploring Potential Impacts

Question
Hi, I have been trying to fall pregnant since last Feb with no success, I've had the tests done and apparently I am fertile and everything is mean to be working down there but as I am an abuser of prescription medication I feel that this could be the reason why I a am not falling pregnant.

I am going to be honest and I have around 12-18 Neutrogena Plus Tablets a day for headaches, 50 mg of Derenalin in the morning and at night, Nexium 40mg, Madopar 100/25mg x 8 at night to stop RLS, two Stilnox CR Release 12.5mg tablets, Aldern 5mg x 5 and Naproxen x 2 Daily sometimes I have more, I have a disorder Scitzodefectivedisorder that I have had under control for months but I still don't sleep unless I have the tablets I can go weeks without sleeping, I get very moody and can not concentrate. I sometimes get massive migraines and have imograine tablets, endone, valium and Paxam and also sometimes when I can't have them I shall have a box of Mersyndol Forte and sleep and wake up feeling better.

I have been slowly cutting down alot of this medication but I need to stay on the Stilnox and Madopar as I don't sleep I'm trying to train my brain to sleep and I am seeing a sleep doctor that says that the melotoin in my brain isn't there so there is no switch off button, I can sleep for around 2-3 hours a night and then just play on computer or do my assignments to become a Human Resources Manager.

I am just wanting to know is all this medication the reason why I can not fall pregnant, I have had all the endemetrious tests and all my tubes and uterus are fine and same with my partners bits he's healthy as a hours being a personal trainer that doesn't take steroids etc.

I really need help in what I should do what foods I should eat I have been on clomid for the past 7 months and no luck, I am nearly going to give up as I am 32 and all my sisters 5 of them have had their children.. but we would really like a boy of our own.

Can hou please help in relation to when the best time to conceive is, I have brought the Maybe Baby and I can't work it out and I have brought the Clear Blue Ovulation Kit and nothing seems to be telling me anything.

I did have my last cycle on the 13th January and it went for it's usual 4 days.

My last cycles are;

Oct 2019; 19th-23rd (get painful cramps in Jaw when on cycle#
Nov 2010; 17th-20th #get painful cramps in Jaw when on cycle#
Dec 2010; 16th-19th #get painful cramps in Jaw when on cycle#
Jan 2011; 13th-17th #first time heavy and painful cramps)

I am wanting if possible to fall pregnant this month or next I am desperate otohave a child both my mother, grandmother and great grandmother went through menopause and cancer at the ages from 32 onwards. So I am really keen can you please help

My sisters all have children, the 27 year old has 4 children under 6, the other three sister have two children each, the oldest out of all my nieces and nephews is 7 and the youngest is 4 hours old so I am really clucky at the moment

Answer
Hello Sioban from Australia,

I'm afraid that there is not a natural answer for you, and I think that is what you are seeking.  Your cycles are regular, and as you mentioned, your tubes and uterus are normal.  The diagnosis of endometriosis would require a surgery called a laparoscopy.  Did you have that done?  How about your husband's sperm.  Has that been checked?

At this point, I would abandon the Clomid treatments and recommend that you go see an infertility sub-specialist.  This specialized doctor can then evaluation everything and give you a recommendation for treatment.  That is the point that you are at now.  Short of that, you are probably wasting your time.

Good Luck,
