Estrodiol Valerate & Fertility: Role in Ovulation & Implantation

Question
is there any role of estrodiol vulrate in case if ovulation is occurring but still pregnancy is not happening if yes then what is does schedule in that case

Answer
Hello Vinay from India,

Estradiol valerate is a form of estrogen.  It can be used as an estrogen supplement if there is an inadequate endometrial lining (> 9 mms) at the time of ovulation or for implantation failure.    However, the main hormone for implantation failure is progesterone, which is started after ovulation and continued until the pregnancy test.  Otherwise, it does not do anything to help with ovulation. I prefer to use a patch or vaginal suppository for estrogen supplementation rather than the injectable form.

Good Luck,
