QuestionI am only 19 years old and I just recently lost my virginity. However, ever since i have been getting pain in my ovaries. Now they have become worse to the point where i cannot even walk sometimes, i have to take a break. I have the pain with me at all times, it hurts so bad, i feel like i have a real bad bruise. Everytime i press my finger on it, it hurts real bad. I could feel that something is swallen. There's something hard. I dont know and when i get my period, its not liquid, its just black mooshies on my pad. I dont know..i'm worry..i made an appointment however, i have to wait a month. Now that i have to go my period arrive really late and it lasts 8 days long. I dont know wat to do.
AnswerDear Daniela, I strongly suggest that you hold off on sex....... Keep your OB/GYN appointment that is scheduled and make sure the doctor does a pap smear along with his/her internal exam....
You could simply have cysts on your ovaries or there could be a solid mass, but until your exam, there is no way of knowing.... Take over the counter pain relievers like Advil which may help with inflammation and KEEP your appointment...
If this gets TOO bad, then go to your local Emergency Room for more immediate ultrasound and diagnosis...
