Understanding Functional Hernias: Causes, Symptoms & Management

Hello again............
I have had more tests done on this subject, and my organs are fine, along with everything else.
They tell me I have a "functional hernia".
What to do about this?  What does it mean?

Functional hernia... I don't know exactly what that term means.  A hernia means that there is a defect in a tissue wall, usually muscle and there is a bulge of the underlying tissue going thru it... functional... could it have been a hiatal hernia?  That would be stomach bulging through the diaphragm and then stomach contents "backflowing" into the esophagus causing reflux.
